Kobe Harborland is a waterfront area with lots
of attractions like cinema’s, an amusement park,restaurants
and ships, A big Ferris wheel and carousel, and a special mosaic
garden.
The area is a popular place to relax and has a beautiful view of the area, and the skyline of the city.

The museum gives a good history information
about the harbour his history, the sea, the port, and other things
that are relative with the ocean.
The building with the shape of a sailboat looks beautiful in the area with the Kobe tower. Especially at night with all the lights.

Meriken park is a waterfront park, in port Kobe
area. The park was destroyed in 1995 by the Great Hanshin
Earthquake, but is now fully restored and has become a mayor
attraction of the city for tourist, as well for the citizen
self.
The park includes Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum, Hotel Okura Kobe and Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel in the park area. Especially at night the view of the area is beautiful lighted.
The name of Meriken park comes from the word “America” but the Japanese understand it as “Meriken”.

Kobe Port Earthquake Memorial Park is located on
the east of the Kobe Maritime Museum. Its an area that was damage
heavily with by the Great Hanshin Earthquake, and has been
preserved in its damaged state as a memory of the earthquake .
Also you can see pictures and movies from the days after the earthquake and its renovation.

With a height of 108m you can see the tower that was build in 1963 from a far distance away.On top of the tower is an observation deck (with an automatic rotation of 360degrees) where you can see Kobe City, Awaji Island and Osaka Bay
